  • If you watched The Count of Monte Cristo or simply want to explore one of the islands off the coast of Marseille, this could be a great short boat trip—especially when the sun isn’t too strong. Please note that this trip is weather-dependent, and the castle may be closed in case of bad weather, as boats may be unable to dock for transport.

3. Cosquer Méditerranée – Grotte Cosquer

  • A replica of the famous Cosquer Cave, featuring rare Paleolithic cave art from our region. You can experience a simulated descent to 37 meters under the sea and travel back in time to the Paleolithic era to an aread just next to KEDGE Luminy campus!

4. Musée des Civilisations de l’Europe et de la Méditerranée (MuCEM)

  • The MuCEM is a must-see museum in Marseille, dedicated to European and Mediterranean civilizations – even if you just visit the building and drink a coffee at the roof top terrace overlooking the entrance to the port of Marseille – it is worth your time!

5. Musée d’Histoire de Marseille

  • You know that Marseille is older than Paris? It is the oldest city in France as well as one of the oldest continuously inhabited places in Europe. This museum focuses on the rich history of Marseille, from its Greek origins around 600 BCE to modern times.

6. The Calanques of Marseille
