Flights to Sydney

Sydney is served by Sydney (Kingsford Smith) Airport (SYD) and the newly opened Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport (WSI), which offer convenient connections from Europe, the Middle East, and North America.

From Europe

Sydney is well connected to Europe through major international hubs, with convenient one-stop flights available from cities such as London, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Munich, Rome, Milan, Zurich, Vienna, Madrid, and Istanbul. Travellers can choose from a wide range of international carriers, including Qantas, British Airways, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Etihad Airways, Turkish Airlines, and Lufthansa.

International visitors can arrive via Sydney Airport (SYD), Australia’s busiest international gateway, or via the new Western Sydney International Airport (WSI), located closer to the conference venue in Parramatta. Opening in October 2026, Western Sydney International Airport (WSI) is served by airlines including Singapore Airlines and Air New Zealand, with planned additional international services from carriers such as Emirates and Qatar Airways expected to expand access for overseas visitors.

From the United States

Sydney is served by direct flights from several major U.S. gateways, including Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO), Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW), and New York (JFK), with services operated by airlines such as Qantas, United Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and Air New Zealand.

Travellers from other U.S. cities can easily connect via Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas–Fort Worth, Honolulu, Auckland, Singapore, or major Asian and Middle Eastern hubs. Popular one-stop routes are available from cities including Chicago, Washington DC, Seattle, Boston, Atlanta, Houston, and Denver.

Conference attendees may arrive at either Sydney Airport (SYD) or the new Western Sydney International Airport (WSI), which is located closer to the conference venue in Parramatta and is expected to offer a growing range of international connections.

From the Middle East

Sydney is well connected to the Middle East through both direct and one-stop services. Frequent flights are available from major cities including Dubai, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Jeddah, Kuwait City, Muscat, and Beirut, operated by airlines such as Emirates, Qatar Airways, Etihad Airways, and Gulf Air.

Many travellers can fly directly to Sydney from Dubai, Doha, and Abu Dhabi, while convenient one-stop connections are available from other Middle Eastern cities via these major aviation hubs. International visitors may arrive at Sydney Airport (SYD) or, as services expand, the new Western Sydney International Airport (WSI), which is located closer to the conference venue in Parramatta.
