Visa & Entry to Türkiye

  • Check your country’s requirements: See the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ official page: Visa Information for Foreigners.
  • e-Visa (tourism/business only): Many nationals can apply online at www.evisa.gov.tr 24/7 and receive an e-Visa in minutes after entering passport/travel dates and paying the fee.
  • Passport validity: Your travel document should be valid at least 60 days beyond the permitted duration of stay (e.g., 30-day stay → 90-day passport validity; 90-day stay → 150-day validity).
  • Exemptions & special cases: Some nationalities/passport types are visa-exempt or may enter with national IDs; requirements can differ for specific categories (e.g., drivers, documentary/archaeology projects).
  • On arrival vs. online: e-Visa fees are generally lower online than at airports.

For the most accurate, up-to-date rules (including fees, eligible nationalities, and exemptions), please consult the MFA page above and the e-Visa portal.
